    Hi everyone, im setting out on my straight razor journey and I'm looking to buy a hone. I've had my Fisher razor honed by my local barber (he said it was crap!) so I'm looking to maintain its edge with a polishing stone.

    This is the stone I'm looking at buying, I'd appreciate your comments and maybe someone has had experience with 1

    eBay.ie: Natural Polishing Water Stone (12,000 Grit) (item 130261647256 end time 08-Nov-08 21:58:29 GMT)

    Is the hone too narrow i.e. 2 inches and would it make much difference? Ive watched Lynns DVD and how he uses a 8x3x1 and this seems to be the recommended size on this site
