Thanked: 1How bad is the damage??? =-( =^(
I just got my straight, and when I went to rinse off the shaving cream for the first time I tapped the bottom of the sink to the blade
I ended up finishing my first shave, but here are the pics
EDIT: I don't have any stones atm, and really don't want to spend $100 on them now atm =(
EDIT: Fixed pics/made smaller
I should be getting my Tony Miller Strop any day, would his pasted on the reverse side be enough? (apprentice)

Thanked: 4942Definitely salvageable. Might need a few circles on the 4K side of the Norton and just re-hone it.

Get someone to hone it for you, it should be an easy fix!

It will without a doubt need a re-hone. It's not bad though, could have been a bad chip instead of this small burr.

There are some people who might say a pasted strop with like 5micron diamond might fix that but personally I would never use a pasted strop to do any repair period. If you don't have stones send it out.

Thanked: 1Who would you guys & gals recommend to hone my razor? I imagine I should avoid local places since they most likely aren't as good as forum users here.
Any suggestions? I'm in Buffalo, NY btw..
(^ I really don't want to wait too too long for this razor to get back into action, 2weeks in waiting thus far lol)
