    Default Newbie Checking In

New to the forum, but have been straight shaving for about 6 months. Unfortunately I wasnt privy to the wonder of StraightRazorPlace.com, and bought a Zeepk for my first razor. Ouch to say the least, but worked through that for almost 3 months. Finally upgraded to a W&B, and am moving along nicely. Bad news is that I live out of the country and have finally run the blade down good, so I was forced to switch back to that evil, evil Mach 3.

There's just something about that straight shave now that starts my day off right. Im contemplating a beard until I can get home and hone that bad boy up and get back to baby face.

But just wanted to say hello, and look forward to dropping paychecks on this new hobby of mine!

welcome to srp. I can't imagine wherever you are would be terribly hard to get your razor honed, but you know better.

You could always international mail it to a member here, might cost a bit in shipping but I don't see why you couldn't.

I bet you could even do that if you were in Iraq or something. Just bring 3 and always have 1 out for honing lol.

Im living in Antigua right now, which makes shipping things a little difficult. $50 one way, plus a tax on anything you receive. Im planning just to hone up 4 or 5 razors that I have and then I should be good to go.
