Thread: Care to comment on new acquisition

Those are some great razors to start out with. There are more and more of us Canucks showing up all the time too.

It's hard to comment on the razors without seeing pictures of them, but if they are in good shape they should all be good shavers. All are from solid manufacturers (except the Simmons; as I understand it they imported blades, and high quality blades at that).

the W&B and the Reynolds are supposed to be 'shave ready' (Actually I got the Reynolds from a member here)

THe Simmons is apparently in decent shape but not shave ready.

I'm also going to get two strops with it.

I was thinking that I might get some green compound from Lee Valley and maybe some Diamond paste to keep them sharp for a while.

I'm not sure I'm ready to invest in honing yet.

congrats on the recent buys. i live in southwestern ontario. you should get some pics on here as we would all like to see them.
