Certainly in the UK using paki as a reference to a person is considered to be unacceptable.
Not sure why as Polish people don't mind being called Poles and I don't mind being called a Brit. Probably due to it's large use in jokes and racist abuse.

I don't think refering to the poeple who make and market that unsharpenable junk with an insulting name is in any way inappropriate, they insult us every time they call their product a razor.
