Thanked: 0Hello
Hi
I'm Chris and am sick of disposables. I'm thinking about the Wapi II deal I saw in the vendors section.
Thanks

Agreed, disposables suck!! From what I hear, wapis are pretty good straights. Just make sure that it is shave ready, or send it out to get honed if it isn't. There are plenty of razors in the classifieds that are shave-ready, I would just aim to get one of those if this is your first straight razor. Good luck, and enjoy the straight razor experience.
Dave
p.s. Do you have a strop? You'll need one for everyday, or everyshave, use even if the razor is shave-ready.

Hi Chris, and welcome to SRP!
If you're talking about the setup from Kenrup, that's a great deal and a wonderful way to start. Take your time, read lots, read the stickies, read the wikis, and watch lots of videos (here and on you tube).
You're about to embark on a wonderful and lifelong journey. Welcome aboard.

Wapis are getting harder to find - I should know! A great starter razor, takes a fearsome edge and easy to care for. Grab yours NOW!

Hello and welcome to the SRP euchre98. Good luck with your wapi or whatever straight you choose. Make sure it's shave ready or get it honed by one of the bladesmiths here in the classified. Make sure you have a strop, you'll need it before every shave. Also, it would be in your best interest to purchase Lynn Abrams Guide to straight razor shaving! It is my most vauable tool I purchased for straight razor shaving! it covers everthing you need for a a sucssesful straight razor shave. The advise here in this forum is also very valuable as well. Good luck, STRAIGHT RAZOR 13.
