Funny how you say it works for you and so many are offering alternatives!

    Here's another one.

I use aloe right from my plant as part of my aftershave. You could try using it as a pre-shave lubricant. Just cut an aloe leaf from the plant store it in your bathroom. Before you shave, use a knife to cut about a half inch off of the leaf. Rub it between your palms, remove the couple of green bits, and rub the rest on your face. It dries eventually but it should stay moist long enough for your shave.

Do you know what it is specifically you're allergic to in the soaps and creams? If so, you might be able to go to one of the fine purveyors of soaps and creams that we have lurking around this site and see what they could do for you.

1rst pass with well lathered and prepped face , second pass with watered down lather (light) works best for me. Water only kinda takes the "sex" out of the whole shave thing..

Sorry to hijack like this, wasn't my intention...
I'm yet to come to the whole soap/cream exploration. I'm winging it as a+I go for now.
When that time comes I will be sure to ask for help and advice from all the members here.
Thanks for you advice. It's much appreciated
