Thread: How can it be so slow..

Waiting for packages is so frustrating. I had a recent order from China and had to wait over 7 weeks. Of course, I did order it by the literal slow boat to save a few pennies but I did not realize it would take so very long...

I find it really depends and is down to blind luck. I've ordered from Classicshaving and it's taken anywhere from a week to four weeks from the moment I get the confirmation email (usually the next day after ordering). I've ordered from individuals and it's totally a crap shoot for that as well.
I usually assume that if it takes over 2 to 2.5 weeks, customs has nabbed it and I'm in for an extra bill.

I recently sent 2 packages from Ontario, Canada. One was for Brazil, and the other for GA. I bet you can guess which one took twice as long as the other. It's ridiculous.

Thanked: 398hehe!
I don't think Canada Post should be on strike right now! We should be on strike! such poor services is absolutely unacceptable.

i would point out that there are plenty of fast options as well, just most people want it fast and cheap. there is a lot of mail traveling all over the world and most of it gets there pretty well.
canada is a bit slow i believe, because of the customs.
i've sent and received mail all over the world in many different ways and it's often interesting to see the tracking of a package.
overall i find that mail works quite well, both inside us, and internationally.

At this point I think USPS and Canada should pay me instead of me paying them...

Thanked: 1My girlfriend is buying me a Tony Miller strop for Christmas, and I'm worried it will get held up at the border for awhile (I'm also in New Brunswick)
Hopefully it makes it on time...if not...I'll be stropping with a sad face on Christmas day
Oh, and my mom works for Canada Post, so don't say anything bad about them....LOL!
