A double bevel will increase the amount of honing needed to get back to a clean single bevel. However, if the double bevel is sharp, the razor will be sharp. Tim Zowada hones his razors with a double bevel deliberately and they work just fine.

The videos that were posted have a pretty good section on this topic. I don't think that you need to worry about it as it relates to your new razor because it is very unlikely that any sharpness issues you have with a two shave old Honemeister edge are related to a double bevel. It will probably be shave ready or it will be buggered by poor handling. Good luck.
