Thanked: 0Hola Gentlemen
Good Morning All,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I am 33, married with one young son (three years) and currently reside in central NC, USA but will be moving to Mexico City in April 2009.
I have been shaving with a DE for nearly three years and am looking forward to trying a straight. I've already spent a bit of time gleaning info. from this site and look forward to gathering more.
Once I gain possession of a razor and strop I promise to start with the inquiries...
Thanks again!

Welcome aboard! Take your time, get familiar with what's out there, read as much as you can, and then go for it!
As a starter, I would recommend a Dovo blade and a Tony Miller strop. You really can't beat them for quality and value.

Welcome aboard Frank!
Any shave ready blade from the Classifieds will be a great starter - it doesn't have to be new, expensive, or even very pretty...but it MUST be shave ready.
Keep on reading - the stickies and wikis are great for cutting off a substancial portion of the learning curve - and Lynn's video is also a must-see!
Keep us posted, and have fun!
Mark

And remember. There are no stupid questions, just stupid people. Err wait that's not what I actually meant - But now I can use that smiley.
Welcome Being a DE user I reckon you already know that it might not be smooth sailing from the start.
