    Nah. It's just hair- wash it out and it's fresh for next time. You can very easily get by with one brush without any degradation of your shaving experience.

    I have a apothecary mug and several coffee mugs with soap inside. I use a berry bowl to lather (~$3) . Once I am done using the soap I dump the excess water and let it dry. I only have one brush.

    Default I put water on brush...

    I put the water on my brush, not in the cup when I shave. This creates plenty of lather as I rinse my brush frequently as I shave, gives my soap a long life without becoming soggy or dry. Hope it helps!
