How do you make shaving cream warm or hot?


By the way, the reason you're seeing this on multiple posts is so there's more of a chance people will see it. Hope it doesn't bug you.

My method is to run hot water into my lather bowl, with the brush in it. I do this while I am stropping my razor (60 laps). By the time I am finished, I build my lather and it stays warm on the brush.

I make my lather warm the same way as dward does..

The double posts dont bug me but I find it a bit more difficult to follow the thread as people respond in two different threads..

I keep my lather as hot as possible, which is usually between warm and hot I typically fill my sink half-full with hot lather, whip up the lather and put the bowl down into the water. This is best done with glycerin soaps, as other cakes tend to dry out.

You could also find yourself a nice scuttle.

A scuttle works well for warm lather. Check out Georgetown Pottery or Christopher Moss Scuttle.

I prefer warm lather.

I just tried somthing new. I have a candle warmer that my wife bought, I put some soap on my brush and then build the lather in a ceramic bowl and place the bowl on the candlewarmer. Leave it there for a few minutes and then you have a nice hot lather.
