First Shave and Thanks SRP!
I have been lurking here for a while, wondering whether I was going to give this thing a try, and yesterday morning I went for it, and things went surpisingly well. Thanks SRP forums!
Yes, there was blood, but very little more than when I used a safety, and it was just my first time, but toward the end of the shave I felt I was getting the hang of it and I started realizing "this is why people do this!"
I really wanted to say thanks to the Senior and Newbies who post here, by lurking I was able to learn a lot from you all. I purchased a shave ready razor from a member here at SRP, I read the WIKI, read the newbie sections, and basically followed the recommendations and it went much better than I expected and I am excited to shave today.
Thanks again!!

congrats and it will get better every time you shave. all the members here helped me out a lot. everyone on srp is great , like you i read wikis and fourums till my eye sockets were bleeding and all of my questions got answered. i felt like i had shaved with a str8 all of my life before i even picked one up. now that you got the bug you will want to try different size and grinds of blades new soap and brushes you are on your way to shaving bliss

when it comes to buying razors to add to your collection use the classifieds here and if you find something om ebay post it on here so an experienced member can look at it and maybe keep you from getting burned
