Thanked: 19Razor and strop storage?
I'm currently home for Christmas, but when I return to college, I'll be sharing a bathroom with 3 other people. Aside from the hard water questions I asked earlier, my current question is this: Should I store my strop and razor (DOVO stainless) in the bathroom considering that there will be upwards of 4 showers a day taking place (when girlfriends come over )? Or is somewhere drier better? Does it matter as much with the strop as it does with the razor? Let me know, and as always, thanks!

Are you sure you want to leave your razor out where other people known or not can get to it. For some reason I envision theft and/or some other stupidity being committed. Dont let this happen to you>>>>>
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Thanked: 19Well it would be in the medicine cabinet, and my roommates are some of my best friends, not "randoms" anymore, so theft shouldn't really be an issue, especially since I live in an apartment building and not a dorm. But now that you're mentioning it, I'm picturing drunken acts, especially by my girlfriend, ending up rather badly for my blade. Hmmmm..........I think my dresser is looking more and more appealing...

Yep, I vote for the dresser draw. I would also leave it open to the air. The strop would be better off in a drier room also. Rust and mildew can mess up your day.

Thanked: 19Gotcha. That was my thought...don't want to expose anything to any more moisture than it has to be exposed to.
Dave, stupid drunk people at college? No! lol

Thanked: 21Between your buddies' friends and drunken acts of idiocy, I'd keep it put away. Trusting your buddies is one thing, but their friends, and their girlfriends, and that one guy's little brother that came to visit...
Put it away.

Yeah, you know someone's gonna say
"OH cool, let me have a go."
*schwing*
"oops, sorry."
then you've got a damaged razor or the person may have cut themselves or someone else.
Or they could be like my wife and say "Oh so shouldn't i cut the magazines with it?"

Thanked: 3I'd keep um hanging in your room, away from curious hands and moisture, and unrolled.
Razors, too. I have mine on a bedside table in a razor box, near other boxes with knives, guns, etc. Easy to just grab it in the morning, strop it before the shower, and replace when getting dressed.
