Thread: Born Again Noob

Hi everyone. I wanted to reintroduce myself, as I was here about a year ago, but had to put off my foray into straights.

Now I'm ready to go down the path once again. I'm going to ease into it, and i just wanted to thank everyone for all the great work that's been done in this forum already and also thanks in advance for dealing with all of my questions and mistakes.

I've been using a DE for over a year now and I've got the prep work down pretty comfortably. I'm ready now to take the next step and work on the skills of using the straight and maintaining the blade.

I live in the burbs north of Atlanta, so if there are any other guys in the area who are taking their baby steps into this skill, let me know.

Welcome back Baker. I also had a couple of years DE shaving and having the prep and multiple pass techniques down was a big help to me.

You've got a good attitude. I'm sure you'll be getting good shaves from a straight razor in no time.
