Thanked: 0wanted to get an opinion on this razor...
VintageÂBladesÂLLCÂ::ÂDovo...
I like this razor because of the black handle...I was comparing it to the one with the blond handle that jimmyhad recommended to me yesterday. They seem exactly the same, but I'm just a little OCD on making sure that I'm not overlooking something.
The other razor is this one VintageÂBladesÂLLCÂ::ÂDovo...
this razor VintageÂBladesÂLLCÂ::ÂDovo... is a 1/2 hollow ground...but what do you also think about this one?
I am going to get the pre-honing option that way all I have to worry about is stropping it, and if done right I won't have to worry about honing it for a while unless I mess up the blade for doing something dumb...right?

One is as good as the other IMO. Some guys like the 1/2 hollow because they are a bit stiffer with less flex then a full hollow.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

"I'm just a little OCD on making sure that I'm not overlooking something."
Really? ;-)
To complicate your world a bit more. I would buy a different one (Special) from the same manufacturer for about the same price in a different store ;-).
Al raz.

Thanked: 13245That 1/2 hollow is the one I love to recommend, Thank you for the link...
That being said any of those 3 would be fine...
If you consider your beard fairly tuff get the 1/2 hollow if average to light get the full hollow....

All three look ok. My personal preference (I have heavy whiskers) is for the 1/2 hollow.
If you like to experiment, try shaving before you strop it up. Then you can see, afterwards, how stropping improves the edge.

Another vote for the 1/2 hollow. Lovely looking razor and a great price. Just because your beard is not too tough (mine isn't either) does not mean that 1/2 hollows are not for you. Having said that, the full hollows looks like a goodies as well.

I would also have to vote for the 1/2 hollow. My beards by no means a thick or tough beard and I actually prefer the feel of a wedge so it's really a matter of preference and feel of the razor to your face.
A well sharpened full hollow to me feels like to thin of edge and is more prone to nicking when you add the flex factor of a newbie shaving with using to much pressure.
