Thread: Honing in Dublin..

Anyone know any good places to get a razor sharpened in Dublin, Ireland??

Also, does a razor have to pass a HHT before its considered sharp enough to shave with?!?

Well since OS got the first part of yer question (+1 on getting hold of Poona BTW) I'll get the second..

The HHT is test that has to many variables to be highly accurate...

The only sure test is the shave test...


That being said once you become more experienced at using the sharpness tests, they become more accurate for you....

Myself on just the HHT learned long ago that my hair was not all that tuff to pop, I have rather thick hair.... Now the wife's hair is a challenge, it is so fine it is even a challenge to see it .... If a razor pops her hair I know it is sharp, then all I have to do is a shave test to make sure it is smooth...
