Joseph Elliot is a well known Sheffield maker. This particular razor is very special because the grind is true wedge.
I would advise that you get something with more hollowing instead. Or find a honemeister who is willing to hone it and you can shave with a razor very few of us will ever experience.
Still I wouldn't recommend starting with this razor.
As far as how good the shave will be it is a matter of personal preference. It may not even shave for what we know until it's been honed (i.e. it was not tempered right).
Personally I'd consider it more of a rare and collectable razor, but I do shave with every one of my razors. I may just buy it and find out, esp with the lower gbp/usd these days.
