Default DON'T SHAVE ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!!

Hello all, pretty new member here but been shaving straight for a while. Just thought I'd share a horrible experience with you all. I am hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and was running late for work so I splashed some hot water on my face, soaped up and started going to town. Got about halfway through and started getting the "shakes" from not having my breakfast yet. So I tried to finish quickly before it got to bad...big mistake. Before I knew it the blood was dripping off my face onto my counter and it was all I could do to keep a steady hand. I ended up having to call my boss and let him know that I would be a little late to work because I was trying to stop the bleeding. At least it's a better excuse than a "flat tire"...

-Anyone else got any good stories??

And remember, Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

Hmm. A few years ago I had big problems sleeping. I found that if I didn't get enough sleep I got the shakes. I wonder if there's a link between poor sleep and hypoglycemia. (I had a few blood tests done but nothing was found.)

Anyway, key thing is rushing for work and straight shaving don't always mix well.

i also am hypoglycemic but it has gotten better as i have gotten older. i have never had it hit me while i was shaving though. most of the time i can feel it coming before it gets bad. but you have a good point make sure you eat a good meal before you put a 3 inch razor sharp blade on your face
