I keep a bottle of hydrogen peroxide around for cases like this. Pour onto bleeding wound for 15 seconds, watch it foam a little...and the bleeding has stopped.

I could be wrong but I think I remember hearing that that leads to tissue death and possible scarring.

I just use my stypic pen and don't rinse it for a while

Oh, I'm not really that worried about the cut. I slapped some 3X antibiotic and a bandaid on it after the shave. I only mind cuts if they are on my face (means I screwed the shave!) or if it will require stitches.

Patch these mishaps up with paper towels and duct tape. Works really well, especially if you dab a little Neosporin in there too. As an added bonus, it really keeps people at work the hell away from you.

I have a Case Red Imp that i swear has demons. I don't think I have ever shaved with it and not bled from somewhere........I will have it exorcised!!!!

I've googled this and have found some info pointing that way indeed. From my personal experience, I have not found any healing problems (on the contrary actually) nor any scars, but I'm not a doctor or chemist. Talking small cuts, mainly with kitchen knives or other minor household accidents.

That sounds really painful to do. Maybe on a par with using a blowtorch to disinfect the wound?

Painful? No, not at all! Feels like water. Hydrogen peroxide is H2O2. Water with added oxygen

Now if you're talking 180 or 190 proof alcohol ...

Peroxide will only clean exterior of the cut. Any infection inside still thrives. Best bet for that betadine followed by a triple antibiotic. Was a Medic in the Military and I've tried to shake hands with my razor once myself. Not fun!
