    Default Soaps!

    Hello all, new member here.

Just wondering, what does everyone use for soaps? Cutthroat or wet-shaving, and do you use different soaps for each type? Personally I use Williams Mug, but that's only because its cheap and available in my area. Whatever, it gets the job done.

    What do you guys use?

Do you mean straight razor shaving? It's just another method of wet shaving. My Merkur twin was wet shaving.

I use TGQ's soaps. Colleen's are the best!

I use "vergulde hand" soap or Palmolive cream..but I think I'll try tabac next..
Although if I have to wait until I'm out of soap and cream I will have to wait quite a while..

As far as stuff I use, I'm going to take that to mean "Stuff I plan to buy again after the one I have is done" because I've used TONS of stuff and left it by the wayside.

Soaps: Mitchell's Wool Fat, Van Der Hagen Deluxe, Palmolive Stick, Valobra Stick, Erasmic Stick, Tabac Stick (I like stricks...) and Cella Crema da Sapone...If I were to rank them, it'd me MWF, Cella, Valobra, then everything else.

Creams: J.M. Fraser's, The Body Shop Maca Root, TOBS Rose, And I'm trying out AND LOVING Connaught Shaving's Luxury Cream (Sicilian Lime and Peppermint). No particular order, they're all great.

You're right, whatever gets the job done, but down the road you might want to treat yourself to some luxury products. I you want to keep it on the cheap for now you should try Proraso - good soap and good value for the money.
Currently I'm using Proraso green and Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandlewood soaps.

Well, I enjoy all of the soaps for their individual qualities but Momma Bear soaps among my favorites. I also enjoy MWF, Tabac, and Colleen's soaps.

I use soap pucks from Em's place. They are not mentioned much here that I have seen, but I like them. I also use Tabac.

I am not a very big fan of the creams.
