    Gugi is correct, get it properly honed and your technique will improve as will the shave.

    The bottom line here is that there is nothing wrong with your razor some honing won't cure. You can certainly spend alot more for another razor but you won't be getting alot more shave quality. Maybe none at all. Send it out for honing and then report back to us.

    ok I agree with you all, I will send mine out to be honed but still want a new one, If you would only have one what would it be? I really like the dovo micarta but how does it rank in the world of straights also my number two i am looking at is the dovo all stainless but open to other brands. Thanks for all the help ..

    Dovos are great razors, you cant go wrong with one.
