2 verical cuts on my chin and i managed to get my ear with the rounded end a bit.

I'm wondering if i should break out the DE while these heal, i dont wanna.
btw, is there any thing i can look at visually on the razor to see if I have an bumped the edge without noticing, like when i am rinsing.

Been there, done that and bought the T-shirt. Take your time. If you're not comfortable with certain areas of your face, then don't do them with the straight yet. Sounds like your technique could be improved upon. Heck, after 5 months of straight razor shaving I still use my Merkur twin to touch up...

The decision of what razor you use is ultimately yours. I see nothing wrong with using alternative methods to shave. In the meantime, your cuts may heal faster if you use aloe vera and antibiotic ointments, at least that has been my experience.

I have found that the process of shaving is what wakes me up and then I go and have my coffee.
when I have nicked and or cut my self I just leave them be and use my straight the next day, I never have had a DE I switched from my crap3 and have not looked back at all
