Thread: Special or Standard

i have narrowed it down to two razor i found on srd. the dovo special (tortise scales), and the dovo standard. 35 dollar price difference. which one should i get? is the special just priced higher because of looks or is there a difference in performance? thank you

I'm sure that you'd be fine with the $35 one, but if you look in the reviews section here, you'll see that the Special has surprised even old vets here with it's quality. It's gotten a lot of good reviews.

the razor isnt 35 dollars itself. there is a 35 dollar difference between the two. the standard is 80 while the special is 115. thanks for the tip tho. has anyone else used either one?

the difference is not on;y the scales, the blades are different too. as i told you in chat last night.
you won't know the difference until you try them both, but you can find reviews on them.

I have the 5/8 special - I'm a newbie and I love it. I bought it pre-honed and its awesome.

the reviews here and and badger and blade convinced me to got for it. at less than 100 bux its a great entry point.
