Thanked: 1262No idea how I did this.
Never bled, when i put my ASB on i felt no burn either. Was at work having a cup of coffee with someone and they noticed it.
I put some antibiotics on it just now, hopefully it goes away fast. Guessing my left hand is still not quite as proficient as i would like.
Any ideas on what maneuver i pulled here to do this too myself? so i can try to avoid a repeat
*i did some cleanup on the picture. its not quite that red and i didnt realize i had any razor burn there!

I've done that, but never anything quite as long as that. Must've been the full length of the blade nearly! When you go XTG do you go toward the ear, or away? Looks like you've paused, even only briefly, & that's allowed a bit more pressure to be applied, causing that to happen.

Looks like a product of slicing motion. Did you rest the edge on your face contemplating what to do next?

Well, it's most likely either right at the start of a stroke, or as sparq suggested, dragged the blade slightly, or paused, when avoiding your ear at the end of the return stroke. They heal quickly as it's just the top layers of the skin!

I'm not sure that's going to catch on as a standard test though.

Thanked: 17i get that every once in a while, basically you put too much pressure and then paused and started again without pulling away. should heal in a few days with no mark

Thanked: 6Doesn't look so bad... I would be more upset about the irritation. After all, it may get in the way of the next shave.
