I got some come Camelia Oil, from I think it was Carba-tec on the recommendation of Onimaru55 after he honed from Dovo special for me (did a great job too). I though it was very reasonably priced considering it's a decent sized bottle. I also didn't mind spending $25 (Australian) on it, considering I'd spent much more on my straight, not including a brush, strop, etc. If it protects the blade from rust it's a good investment I think.

I don't know about WD-40. As I understand it its main claim to fame is that it displaces water. I have used it on razors with dried accumulated grease and it works great for that.
