    Default Newbie ebay Cleaning Attempt

    1. Buy dirty blade from ebay




    2. Dip in muriatic acid for half an hour and remove




    3. Sand with sandpaper for 10 mins




    4. Realize you've still got a long way to go!

    I'd say don't be afraid of lower grits. You've got some good pitting in there still. Unless you're happy with the aged look, anything higher than 200, you're just burning calories needlessly. I've been learning that lesson the hard way over the last few weeks. I'd go at it with 120 for a while- your shoulders will thank you.

    That acid did a nice job though. Thanks for the tip!
