Thread: First passes with a straight...

So I got a group of straights off of eBay and sent three of them off to Glen gssixgun for a honing, pic of the results is here. I'm using the AIC as a reference edge to judge my stropping technique and the Helma and Robeson into rotation. Just did my first cheek passes with the Helma this morning, finished with my Fatboy, and except for a tiny nick on my first offhand stroke I still have all my parts (except those nasty whiskers) Smoother WTG than a first DE pass. I can see what the fuss is about and look forward to working on my technique. Expect lots more questions as the days pass.
