Stropping
Ok this might look a bit wierd but i am using my mobile . How many stropping is needed before and after a shave ? Does 30-40 sound good ?

I do about 20 to 30 on linen (canvas) and about 40 to 50 on leather. I do a few laps after I shave to finish drying the edge.

Thanked: 18I dont realy count my passes. i strop on both sides of my dovo strop every morning a bunch of times. i do it untill my shoulder hurts. i guess thats enough. i also always do it after i dry my razor with kleenex or tp

+1 Alraz it's the same way I do. 20 or so linen 50 or so leather pre shave, then I go about 20 just leather post. If your stroping method is good you can not over strop.

if you use linen do 20-30 and double the passes on the leather side

I do about 20 laps on my Roo Strop the night before shaving and then about 10-15 before I shave. been working for me.

Thanked: 346It varies by individual and strop. You strop till it's "done" for my Tony Miller linen/horsehide paddle it's closer to 80/50, but for my Craftsman hanger it's about 50/40, and for my Dovo hanger it's about 70/40.
You really can't overstrop, so don't be cautious with it. Just keep it pulled tight, and use a light touch.
