    Default What a great day

    Ok yesterday was my birthday and among the gifts I got for my self was a new badger brush that is on it's way from The Gentelmans Quarter and a new to me straight from the local antique shop. Well I have to say that yesterday was my foruth shave with a straight (not counting the 2 times I shaved with a mora straight knife) and I have to say that my comfort and skill jumped ten fold from my third shave. Anyway after that shave I was pumped up, so pumped I decided to try and get my new razor shave ready. A lot of care and patients later I thought I was ready for the strop. Now the down part. I had just shaved and I had to wait until tonight to have any stubble to shave. Well I just finished what was my 5th shave and the first with my self honed razor. I got it right. Shaved smoth and comfortable. WOOHOOO What a great 24 hours it has been.

    I know I was lucky to get it shave ready. Thats part of the reason it was a great day.
