ya newguy. best of luck with the shaving. definatly read the wiki and get all the gear you need my razor was pretty rough on me until i honed it. i honed mine myself but i watched alot of honing videos. and ive got previous sharpening exprerience with knives/chainsaws and just and unhealthy fixation on sharp things.

LI is a big place. Earthdawn is on Long Island, maybe you guys are close enough to get together. I'm sure there are others in your area but I am not sure who. A good Honemeister is as close as your mail box. +1 on going to them to get your blade shave ready in ED isn't available. Read the stickies in the Newbies corner and go trough hthe WIKI as mention by the great guys above.
