Thread: First Shave with my Straight

Got my straight back from GSSIXGUN today. So, I hop in a nice hot shower and then whip up a lather and shave. I know, for a first shave, just from the sideburns to the jawline. Well, I couldn't stop there. So, I did WTG, ATG, and XTG all on my first shave. I think I needed a bit steeper angle on the blade, but, overall, it shaved as good as my double edge Gillette. Not quite BBS, but not far off. And, only 2 small nicks. Both had stopped weeping by the time I finished the ATG pass.

Used the Torrey that I had Glen hone with some of Colleen's Desert Ironwood cream and a little unscented glycerin soap for an uberlather.

Thanks to all that helped give me the confidence to attempt this and to Glen for his skill at honing these things. Now, I just need a hone for myself.
