Just so you know and won't be disappointed the spine and the blade can be two separate issues. You can have a perfectly straight spine but the blade is slightly warped so it might not be possible to do what you want...in fact unfortunately that's the way it is most of the time hence the need for a narrow stone or advanced stroke.
