Who wants to hone my first razor?
I have PM'd a few people in the classifieds for this service but no one seems to be answering me. For all i know i am not PMing correctly. Never the less iv just received my first blades and i need one of them honed by someone experienced, eventually they will get to hone my other razor and i will give all of my buisness to them in the long run. Is there anyone who would like to, or if someone can point me in the direction of maybe how to PM correctly( assuming i am doing somthing wrong (which is likely)).

I will be getting my first razor this week. its a Wade and Butcher, once i give it a go around will you be available to do my first hone in the upcoming week or two?
That one along with the other 28 others we have to go actually check for there is not a notification system....
I am not sure about the other guys but I actually posted in my ad that the classifieds system does not work that way...
I aplogize for not getting back to you, it looks as though Sam has made you a offer to take care of the honing for you....
My ad:
All other costs are given quickly by estimate.....
PS: Please do not leave messages on this system I don't get them use PM or E-mail.....

Thanked: 13245I just actually updated that ad to make it even simpler...
That classified set up has it's very own PM system in there, that is not yet integrated with the normal one...
Again my apologies

I replied to your message in the classifieds, I dont know what happened. Hey Mods!
Edit: I have edited the ad asking members to PM rather than leave messages.Last edited by nun2sharp; 02-28-2009 at 01:09 AM.

I have also been trying to contact someone in the classifieds via PM and was thinking they were just ignoring me, now Im thinking they are not getting the PM, and I got all ****ed off for nothing.

I had a WTB in the classifieds some time ago. A fellow sent me a message in the classifieds PM system. It was there but I didn't notice it for four days. I replied. He didn't notice the reply for a week or so. Whoever handles it would be doing the forum a great service if the classifieds PM system could be integrated into the forum pm system IMO.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I had the same problem for a while until I got in the habit of checking it. I just memorized how many PM's I have in the classifieds and check the number. It has been suggested in the "want your advice" thread of the Announcements section, and I hope there will be some integration with the main PM system too.

if it were easy it would've been integrated by now.
it's a whole separate system and it took me a bit to figure this out, and in the process some people got very late replies, and some didn't even see my replies because they had the same trouble as I had.
hopefully it will happen at some point, but until then I think most guys should ask to be contacted by email and not pm
i am pretty certain nobody has ignored you.
