    Default The verdict is in.

Well, I've been hanging around here for somewhere around a year now, and have lost count of how many times I've now shaved the one true way.

I have to say that despite initial resistance from my wife ("You want to do what?!? This is going to cost HOW much?!? You bought _another_ razor from ebay!?!") and a slow start in honing my own razors myself, I now get as good of a shave as I want, whenever I want.

I did buy a DE, because I prefer not to shave with a straight when I'm in a hurry. But I don't foresee ever shaving with a cartridge or electric razor again.

I'd like to thank some of the old regulars around here for the advice and wisdom they offer to those of us taking up this grand hobby/tradition. This is one of the most pleasant online communities I've ever participated in, and I'm looking forward to many more enjoyable years here.

    Cheers.

It's great when it's going well! I avoid the straight when i'm hurried, or bad tempered. Never shave angry!

Thanks for sharing, wanderer! As for your statement above, don't worry; that is one obstacle that most of us, if not all, have to overcome. As if the learning curve wasn't bad enough......
