    Default Knife Store Honing Nightmare

I thought I was on to a winner when I found a local Knife shop that could hone my straight edge razors. After 4 days of persisting I have realized it's blunt enough to make a great toy for my 3 year old (jk). Thanks to SRP's advice this newbie would like to get his razors properly honed any takers???

That sucks! Definitely stay away from any knife places that want to hone your razors! Unless they have years of experience in just the razor field that is.

There are a lot of guys on here that can help you out, they're cool like that.

Take a look in the Classifieds-Member Services, as many of the Honemeisters have information on their services. If you're real lucky, one of them might be close enough to get personal lessons.

If you send it to me I'll be glad to look at it as I am only 100 miles from you.
I am no honemiester in the sense that most honemiesters do several razors a week,I don't. but I can put a shaving edge on a razor. PM me if you are interested.

Agreed. There are many guys out there that think because they can hone knives then they are naturals to have a go at honing a razor. Problem is it's not his razor he's ing up, it's yours. Send it to a proper honemeister and you won't be disappointed.
