OLD_SCHOOL is a good man. I got a razor from him that was very nice!

And congrats on your shave! Great feelin' ain't it...

Weird! I had the same exact experience. I bought a Wapi, thought I couldn't get a good shave out of it because of my technique. Had to touch up with my 1926 Gillette NEW.

I ordered an extra Hollow GOTTA 120 from OLD SCHOOL Last week and now I get BBS shaves in two-three passes without any need for a touch up. The guy really knows how to hone a good blade. The GOTTA even though hollow cuts through a lot easier than the near wedge of the Wapi.

Congrats!! I know how you feel, it's fantastic to get a great shave with just the straight. There's a real sense of control, I find. Keep it up!

Nice going Stan! I have to agree with you here, OLD_SCHOOL is
truly a wonderful vendor to deal with.

Odd, my Wapi shaves as well as any of my razors, and I see it as my non-nonsense shaver that I can always turn to.

Mind you I bought it shave-ready and haven't had to hone it yet, maybe it will all go horribly wrong when I do!

My wapi was honed by ken rup at ruprazor.com. The honing was done masterfully. I still get a better shave from my GOTTA. It's a master of your face and facial hair structure.
