    Default Dovo Perlex Handle Honing?

I was wondering if anybody has the dovo perlex hanle straight razor. If so how to you hone it to get it sharp? I have the norton 4k 8k and can't seem to get it sharp enough to shave with and I've tried tons of combinations including pyramid honing. I was wondering if anybody uses the norton for this razor? any help?

Did you set a bevel or was it already set?

    fiveten73,
First of all, is this razor stainless steel or carbon? This is very important as carbon will see results much sooner with the norton than will a stainless razor. Stainless is harder to hone generally speaking, and takes longer than carbon steel alone. Secondly, as nun2sharp stated, before you can progress to the point that you are actually honing your razor to a shave ready condition, the bevel must be set initially. Your answers to these 2 questions will help us give you more informed advice.
    Respectfully,
