Thread: I had to try it!

I finally got my strop, a shave ready razor, so I had to try it with canned gel/foam. Not bad! I had to reapply, but no cuts or nicks. I went WTG and XTG. I can't wait to get my soap and brush!

Go to walmart and get a cheap brush and soap while your waiting Even those cheapies are better than the can stuff.

I did the same thing when I got my razor, I didnt even have a strop, I couldnt wait to get started so I used canned shave cream and got busy.

Thanks, guys. My brush and soap arrived this afternoon, so tomorrow, I'm going to have a proper shave.

Let everyone know how the soap and brush go. It can be tough to learn what good lather is, but there is a ton of help. Search the newbie corner and the wiki or just ask. I struggled with proper lather at first but after some questions and a little digging I can now build good lather.
