Now Im really confused
ok I started out with a 6/8 DOVO and thought it was the greatest thing in the world, This week a friend lended me a W&B Chopper and a W&B Spike point . I like them both, the heavy chopper was quiet and seemed to cut through my beard really nice, I thought this is it, then I tried the spike point that has a smile blade and that worked really good too, The spike made some noise but not as much as the DOVO. After using these razors I thought I would not like the DOVO anymore but when I used it tonight I really like it too. I ended up shaving with 3 different razors tonight, putting one down , picking up the other , One in each hand shaving the left side of my face with the chopper , then right side with the DOVO. This is crazy , and no nicks yet. Im worried that when I finnally do nick myself it's going to be bad. It seemed to me with the heavy chopper being so quiet I really had to pay attention to what I was doing, I am used to hearing the sound the DOVO blade makes and I kinda know whats going on.

Mike, sounds like a case of "enjoying the many types of razor syndrome". Lol, there is nothing to be confused about. Each and every razor has it's own personality, sound and feel. I think that is why most everyone on here has so many different types of razors. Different ones for different moods, beard growths. Keep having fun with those blades!

Thanked: 156Welcome to my world!
I've got 15 razors atm waiting to be restored, just finished three today and have one in my left and one in my right. Pretty sure I did the same thing yesterday too. Some days I shave with two razors and some days I test shave with one. I love it so far.
Not so fun when they go into the package and get shipped off...
Today I shaved with a big ol' meat chopper. That sucker cut through hair like an axe through a forest. Ok, maybe not an axe, maybe one of those big lumber cutting machines.

Thanked: 3795Congrats, you are now a razor polygamist! (I wanted to use another word but was pretty sure the automatic editor would block it!)

I'm here to help! The confusion obviously stems from statistically insufficient sampling. 3-razors?!? Even for such insignificant events as elections they check with about 1000 different people....
You're off by a factor of 300. I would recommend you consult with Lynn's DVD again...
Glad I could clear up the confusion

Now maybe you understand the display shelf and the shoebox down stairs and the desk set up just for hones and the umpteen strops and the..... Wait until you meet Tim/oldblades at the meetup.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
