Thanked: 0New To The Forum
Hi ALL l!!l!
I've been using a Dovo 5/8 for about 10 yrs. I'm thinking I'm missing out not using a 5/8.
What should I do? What should I get?
Around $100 please.....more or less............

Hi and welcome to SRP ! If your asking if you should get the razor I would say absolutely. If your asking for $100.00 I would say I can't help you. Just kidding .Enjoy the forum and take a look at the SRP Wiki here. All kinds of good info in there.

Thanked: 1587Welcome to the forum! A 7/8 for around the 100 mark? You might have to go second-hand/vintage and/or restored. Hopefully someone with more of a finger on the pulse of razor buying and prices than I currently have will pop along and help out.

Thanked: 0Damn Pop Ups
I guess what I'd really like to know is: I'd like to buy a new 7/8" blade. What should I look for.
Thanks!

Thanked: 1212Look no further:
eBay.be: Rasiermesser Zwilling Henckels Friodur 7/8 Zoll unben. (object 290305673514 eindtijd 05-apr-09 14:09:20 CEST)
I own one and bought 2 more. It honed the 2nd one up today. Just like the first, it easily took an awesome edge.
Here's a recent thread about them:

and here's another where the razor receives high praise:

I look for what I like in the shape of the point, the grind and the type of scales. The last being cosmetic but that is something that I consider. I like a Spanish point better then a square point or round. I might be looking for a full hollow or perhaps something heavier. It all depends on your individual preference.
