First Proper Shave
My Double Arrow from ruprazor came in today. I felt like a kid on Christmas when I saw that the mailman had finally brought it. Once I opened it up, I realized just how inadequate the pocket knife posing as a razor that I used before was. This thing was S-H-A-R-P. I managed to shave my whole face (minus the chin since I keep a goatee) the first time. It just felt right. I was never quite comfortable shaving with a cartridge, but a straight just feels right in my hand. I think I need to work on my technique some more, but overall I'm highly satisfied . The true test will be when the hair starts to grow back in. I'm hoping I don't get the same kind of irritation I used to with my multi-blade monstrosity.

I felt exactly the same waiting for my razor could hardly wait to get a shave.
to celebrate the event properly i hadn't shaved prior for 3 weeks.
well what can i say no cuts no nicks and believe that was down to the fact that my razor wasn't all that sharp...was quite a rough shave to be fair maybe thats not so bad for practicing.
I shaves 4 times the first time
and even though my skin was red at the time i didnt get my usual skin irritation afterwards so thats a winner already.
just need to figure that stropping out now.
how did your stropping go did you strop your razor bevor your first shave?

It's really satisfying to get a great shave from a straight, isn't it? So cool...so cool.
