    Default Another Newbie

    Hello all,

So, I'm "Joe Mcclaine" on SMF and "In The Know" on B&B . . . how confusing is THAT?

    Anyway,

I'm mainly a SMF (or is that AN SMF) geezer, but will be hanging round here as I slip deeper and deeper into the World of straight razors and especially HONING.

At the moment I own a Wapienica 5/8 in the original steel scales and have a couple of 11/16 Wapis on the way to me as well as another Wapi 5/8 from a Polish seller which I'm assuming isn't going to be 'shave ready' to practice honing on.

I plan to get a couple more of the 5/8 Wapis (maybe a nice re-scaled one) as the one I have gives me a very quick, very comfortable shave.

As for hones - I have a BBW and Yellow - both 150mm x 50mm (6" x 2") on their way to me which I'm hoping to practice my honing on using ebay Wapi.

At this stage I can't see me chasing vintage razors down as I find the shave with the Wapi to be all I need (I did say at this stage).

    Anyway,

    Cheers for now.

    Vinny.

Just once! I haven't revisited that experience, although
it would describe it as tedious but enjoyable.
