Get The Oil Off Your Blade !
I just finished reading a post , which prompted me to write this one .
When you recieve a shave ready razor with oil on the blade , remove the oil with hot water or rubbing alcohol before you strop and shave with it .Greetings , from Dundalk , Maryland . The place where normal people , fear to go .

I just wipe mine with a kleenex tissue. So far so good.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 1262I just rinse it under hot water, then wipe dry.
On a ebay razor, i spray it down with clippercide and let it sit.

Thanked: 278Unless it's a thick oil that has solidified, I don't see the need to clean it off at all. Just shave with it as normal.
Sometimes I strop a razor in advance and put (Ballistol) oil on it. Shaving without cleaning the blade works just fine.

depends on where you got the razor from. when i ship mine, they have mineral oil on them. nothing harmful there to the body.
