Well, you need a strop a lot more than you need more razors. Since you can't decide I'll do it for you - purchase the Illinois model 827.

    Smile Strop Purchased.

I actually just purchased a strop from classicshaving.com. I got the DOVO paddle style strop. I'm not sure if I need strop paste or not with that one. Thanks again for the help! Any ideas about the strop paste or anything else that will make my shaving more enjoyable?

there are two kinds of pastes - one is just conditioning for the leather - you don't need that, the other is abrasives of various kinds, you may want to use that later when your razor needs touch-up (you still need to have one clean leather surface for daily stropping, but paddles usually have two or more surfaces).

Gugi, where can I get this strop? I didn't see it in SRD or one or two of the other vendors listed.
