Finally had my first proper shave

I had been using the Shavette with good success but now its in the back of the drawer...

Today I got home from the gym and there it was on the table

a box from Vintage blades

a Dovo Renaissance ... on the box was a big sticker that said honed by lynn abrams no need to strop...which was a good thing because my strop wont be in until tomorrow or maybe friday.

what a nice razor...the shave was a little different than with the shavette...seemed to pull a little more but i think it was my angles of attack and my soap was a little on the dry side...

but all in all a very low burn shave...

I am a straight man for life...

that razor is nice and hefty...anyone looking for a new razor and wants a 6/8ths stainless...look into the dovo renaissance...

ps...thanks lynn for an excellent job honing...

and thanks vintage blades for such fast service...I love the razor...

and I didnt even need the styptic pencil that i got included with my purchase...
