    Welcome Hillary!
It's always nice to see people revive the lost art of barbering. And, of course, your professional expertise will always be welcomed here; feel free to comment on any given situation as you stand on a position that none of us, or at least, not most of us are acquainted with.
And I stress Leighton's question: do you use disposables or real live straight razors that are sinister and creepy?

Please, let it be the latter scenario...

Thanks guys!! i'm at a shop called Floyds I'm at the one on the I-17 and Thunderbird, :: Floyd's 99 Barbershop ::, we use disposable razors... wich is kewl, but i wish we used the real deal.. But it's sanitary and keeps people from freaking out!! lmao!! And plus then we always know we have fresh sharp blades!! but as of Sunday i will be a proud owner of a real razor!!!

Woot! Will you be shaving people with it?

I've been wondering lately if modern barbers sharpen their own razors, or if they send them out for sharpening. And if the latter... I'd certainly trade my sharpening skills for a haircut.

    Welcome AZBARBERCHICK!

You can already answer a question of mine. Which of the disposable straights do you prefer? I tried a few of these and was disappointed by all of them. Perhaps the least disappointing was the SANGUINE X-D20:

    AND ...

I see you are a fan of Vintage VWs. One of my favorite cars was a 1967 Karman Ghia. Red. A poor man's Porsche 356C. Long since in VW Valhalla. I had it while in college where the winter temps went to -20F almost on a daily basis. How I wished it had a better heater!

This one's not mine but it is a red '67:
