Hi everyone, I decided to come into the forum and say "Hi" and "thanks" to all of you regulars who post such great info here.

I used to follow the Yahoo group pretty regularly years ago and was happy to find SRP as well as many other straight razor forums having grown so much since back then.

I've been a straight collector (well more knives with a side addiction with straights) for many years but only recently pulled out an old W&B Celebrated meat chopper, honed it up, and started shaving. Thrilled me to death and ****ed me off all at the same time. I was thrilled to finally have taken the step to try wet shaving but ****ed it took me so long to do it.

Now it seems that I'm back into searching antique stores and flea markets for those hidden treasures again and loving it. One of the best parts for me is the history of these old razors and being able to take part and add to that history. It's hard to believe that you're holding and using a tool that was made 100+ yrs ago, simply amazing!

Anyway, that's about all I have to say besides see you around.

Dave
