    Default Finally got the Chin

After a few successful shaves of the cheeks, neck, and lip, I finally decided to give the chin a go. It was tricky, but I managed to pull it off with minimal bleeding. Just one minor nick where I screwed up the angle trying to follow a contour. It's still far from BBS, but at least I look less scruffy now. The real test will be when the GF sees it this afternoon.

Well done! The chin's the hardest part, I believe, & milestones like these really do feel like an achievement!

I'm getting much better on the chin as well after only a couple of months. I just take it slow and mind the angle. The only place left that's still a challenge, but hopefully not for too much longer.

The chin is hard, but it's really satisfying when you get it right those first couple of times. Nice one guys.

Congrats! The chin was a huge milestone for me, I remember.

What really helped was a sharp-a$s blade, and refined technique. First pass I do WTG. Next pass I do ATG, starting at the neck and ending just above the chin line, with my chin up, and bottom lip just above my top (causing the skin to be more taught). Last pass I do XTG just over the chin line.

It's really good that you took your time and got used to the razor. The chin because of it's shape is usually a shave unto itself and takes a few tries to master. The main thing is to make sure you try to maintain the 30 degree or less angle and don't be in a hurry. Most times just a with the grain shave on the shin with a little across the grain when it merges with the cheek will be all you need.

    Congrats and enjoy!!!!

Congrats! The chin is a tough one to figure out. Like Lynn says, I only need ATG and XTG for my chin, but in the beginning, there were a lot of rough patches when I finished.
