Don't send GUGI 's razor to me it will lost on the mail hehehehe
Sham, thank you for your generous offer! Since I'm trying to prove to forum members, as well as myself, that I can hone razors for members in a timely manner, I'd like to hone these razors on my own. However, if a waiting list does form, I will certainly check with you to see if you'd be willing to take up the slack.
For anyone looking to pay to have their razors honed, please consider sending some to hi_bud_gl as a way to thank him for all of the razors he has honed for free for forum members. He has been very helpful in advising me and is always willing to help people in this forum.
You know guys, this is really great and exactly how I got started.
After honing a few hundred razors of my own, I started honing razors for free for other folks and did a few hundred more. I figured by the time I had reached a thousand razors, I was getting the hang of it although the learning process never stops. This is one of the best ways to get to learn about and how each razor hones differently considering all the models and honing media out there.
I think all the beat up meat choppers and wedges and the extraordinary time they take finally made me start charging, but that was a long long time ago.
I still always manage to do a bunch of free ones for the new folks or those that can't afford it and I would encourage this from all our members who hone and who are learning to hone razors.
Cudo's to Utopian and hi bud gl :tu
Thanks guys,
Lynn
I agree with Lynn, kudos to Ron and Sham..... but please fellahs don't get interested in tattooing and start doing that for free. :roflmao
I just got my W&B from Sham and shaved with it the first time this morning. He honed it to perfection and I had my best straight shave yet. I didn't cut myself, the blade didn't pull at all (even on my really thick beard), and my confidence shot way up. I guess that's why everybody is preaching about a great honing and proper stropping.
Thanks again hi_bud_gl.
I already deal with enough needles at work and my artistic talent is nil. I actually had an art teacher in high school insist that the only way she would pass me was if I promised to never, ever, take another art class. I've had no problem keeping that promise. So, don't worry Jimmy, you're safe on my end.
